Delicious

Love the idea of delicious. One of those web technologies that is only retsricted by our imagination or willingness to try something different.

At tyhe Library level delicious allows libraries to create living bibliographies while using tags to search those bibliographies.

Quotes

I love quotes and miss quotes - not the contest "Miss Quotes" that is another story.

Follwoing are two of Mae West's better known quotes.

Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.

I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it.

Love the idea, love the format, but being time poor must use it better.

Started following Kevin Rudds Twitter, provides usefull information and ideas etc. It is good to see a country's leader embracing new technologies. Also like the distiction between his tweets and those of his staff on the same page.

Also like the information contained in David Lee Kings Blog on How Not to Tweet, great information and useful ideas.

The Journey Continues with Web 2.1

My only concerns with re-starting any journey are:
  • What has happened since I ended the first part?
  • Has the direction changed?
  • Do I know the direction I am heading in?
  • Or do I hope smarter, kinder people will help me along the way?

Currently with new technologies changing and emerging so rapidly Twitter may be plucked before I get to the end of the unit - but as they say "Every silver lining has a cloud".

Web 2.1

Here we go again.

Already using some of the stuff, but a little refreshment will be good.
